1. Introduction
Chicken AI ("we", "us", "our") operates chickenai.net, an advanced forensic media analysis platform that helps users detect AI-generated images, deepfakes, and manipulated media. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using Chicken AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information we collect
Account information: When you create an account or sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by your identity provider. This information is used solely to identify your account and personalise your experience.
Analysis data: When you upload media for forensic analysis, the file is processed in isolated server memory and is never permanently stored on our servers. The resulting forensic report — including scores, signals, and findings — may be saved to your personal project library if you are signed in. You can delete your saved projects at any time.
Usage data: We collect anonymised information about how you interact with the platform including pages visited, features used, and general performance metrics. This helps us improve the service and fix issues.
Communications: If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content in order to respond to your enquiry.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve Chicken AI. Specifically we use your information to authenticate your account and keep you signed in, save and sync your forensic analysis projects across devices, personalise your experience and remember your preferences, respond to support requests and enquiries, analyse usage patterns to improve features and performance, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, sell your data to third parties, or send unsolicited marketing communications.
4. Media uploads and forensic analysis
When you upload an image or video for forensic analysis, the file is transmitted securely over HTTPS and processed in an isolated memory environment. The raw media file is immediately discarded after analysis is complete and is never written to disk, stored in a database, or retained on our servers. The forensic report generated from your media may be saved to your account project library at your discretion. You retain full ownership of any media you upload.
5. Data storage and security
Your account information and saved project data are stored securely using Google Firebase Firestore, hosted in the European Union (europe-west2 region). We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure authentication via Google OAuth and Firebase Authentication, rate limiting and bot protection on all API endpoints, and Content Security Policy headers to prevent cross-site attacks.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to sign out of your account when using shared devices.
6. Cookies and analytics
Chicken AI uses Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic location. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We also use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in to your account. These cookies are necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled.
7. Third-party services
Chicken AI integrates with the following third-party services: Google Sign-In for authentication, Google Firebase for data storage, Google Analytics for usage analytics, Google AdSense for advertising, and Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered forensic analysis. Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data practices. We encourage you to review their policies.
We do not share your personal information with any third parties except as necessary to provide the services described above, or as required by law.
8. Your rights and choices
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data, export your saved project data, and opt out of analytics and advertising cookies.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the Contact Us form on our website. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete such information from our systems.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or, where appropriate, by email. The date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last updated. Your continued use of Chicken AI after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
